At $3.25M, Boozer is an amazing pickup by the Lakers off amnesty waivers. He is an established veteran and a proven All-Star, according to Lakers front office.
"Boozer will thrive with a point guard that is efficient at the pick and roll game. The truth is, he was put in an offensive system in Chicago that just didn't do well for him. He's still got a big body, and backing down is never an issue, but he tends to have sloppy handling with quicker defenders. Because of that, I've noticed he's resorted to alot more face-ups and mid-range jumpers (which he's rather efficient in). The man can still rebound but expect little to no defensive effort. He received a ton of criticism purely because he was overpaid.http://www.reddit.com/r/chicagobulls/comments/2azrae/laker_fan_here_looking_for_some_insight/cj0dxs0
Bottom line: He's a player I would've love for the Bulls to keep, for the right price."
Six reasons Carlos Boozer to the Lakers makes sense:
- He’s talented (and inexpensive)
- Kobe will approve the move
- He’s a good teammate
- Rookie Randle will need somebody to lean on
- It’s only for one year
- Hill and Davis are big enough to play center
Jeremy thinks Boozer is a very funny character, plays great both offensively and defensively.
